Operating System(s)

SCO Openserver 6.0x
|
Problem Description
|
In an attempt to create a RecoverEDGE image on my SCO 6 server, I got the error 'Failed to Create Boot Image' followed by 'Details: Error Enabling Statics'.
|
Cause
|
A change made to RecoverEDGE for OpenServer 6 Definitive 2018 inadvertently caused a problem with legacy OpenServer 6 releases in certain hardware configurations.
|
Solution
|
Run the following command as root:
touch /usr/lib/edge/recover2/psm
Then start RecoverEDGE and Select:
Configure -> Media Layout -> Kernel
Press [Tab] and deselect Attempt QuickBuild by pressing the Space Bar.
Press [Tab] to return to the top menu and select [Previous] twice to return to the main menu.
Press [Make Media] to attempt to re-make the
RecoverEDGE
media or image.

Notes
|
This fix is implemented in BackupEDGE 03.03.01 build 1 and later.
