Problem Description
My backup failed with "No Media Detected" error. I had place a tape in the drive that we'd already written to. I noticed the message "Segment too new to be reclaimed.
Cause
The message "segment too new to be reclaimed" means the backup on the media has not expired based on the retention time given when the archive was written.
Solution
This is usually a result of the user not changing media from day to day as recommended. To see the actual retention time of the archive, read the label under [b]edgemenu-verify-show archive label[/b].

You may also want to check the setting of the retention time in the schedule.
