Introducing BackupEDGE 03.03.00 Build 3

We are pleased to announce BackupEDGE 03.03.00 build 3.
  • Engineering has undergone a major re-write of the way RecoverEDGE handles GPT under various Linux distributions, which both increases stability and allows a code base for future enhancements we will be bringing soon. Stay tuned!
  • We've also improved module handling for RecoverEDGE for Linux, as well as updating to the latest network and communications libraries.
  • Ubuntu 18.04.04 LTS Server is supported with this release.
All licenses under a valid Support and Maintenance Subscription as of September 16, 2019 may update to this release at no charge. Please contact our sales department to renew older Subscriptions.

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5 Support Announced

Microlite Corporation announces that BackupEDGE 03.03.00 build 2 has been tested and certified for use with SUSE Linux Enterprise Sever 12 SP5 (Service Pack 5).

With BackupEDGE, SLES 12 SP5 allows user to choose the best way to protect their servers, allowing them to back up to cloud storage, NAS storage, tape storage, optical media storage, or removable disk and flash media storage, all with complete bare metal recovery capabilities.

Oracle Linux Enterprise 8 Update 1 Now Supported

Announcing the release of Microlite BackupEDGE 03.02.03 Build 2. In this release we've:

  • Added support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP1.
  • Added LVM support in RecoverEDGE in many SUSE-family platforms.
  • Modernized the HTML version of the Backup Report.
  • Updated the Dealer / Support Provider information section of the Backup Report.
  • Updated the Java detector to work better with SLES 15 and openSUSE Leap 15.

BackupEDGE 03.02.02 Build 1 Released

We are pleased to announce the release of BackupEDGE 03.02.02.

The biggest change in this release is Network Bonding Support in RecoverEDGE for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 family (including CentOS, Scientific Linux and Oracle Linux Server), and for the Ubuntu Server 18, 17 and 16 families.

Major improvements in the network stack were made as part of this update.

We've also added easy access to the Resource Editor in RecoverEDGE for all platforms except OpenServer 5.

BackupEDGE 03.02.01 build 7 is now certified for the following new operating system release:

  • Suse Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 4 (SP4)
