I'm attempting to re-license my BackupEDGE but edge.activate fails with "EDGE Branding Failed"
|
|
Cause
|
|
Usual cause is a change in system name. The registration code is built on 3 user definable/accessible fields. System name, Product Serial Number and Company Name. If any of the above fields are changed, your activation will no longer work.

Solution
|
|
If your system name has changed, you may either return it to its original or
register BackupEDGE with the new system name.
This is done by running the command /usr/lib/edge/bin/edge.activate -r .
Then reprint the registration form after a new registration key is generated.
Once this form is printed, either fax the form to our registrations desk or email it to registration@microlite.com
