Problem Description
|
|
An unattended backup using double buffering does not complete. The process is
left on the system. No error message or text is issued.
This applies only to Caldera E-Desktop 2.4
|

Cause
|
|
A double buffering process not dying when the process is
completed because the cron daemon in Caldera E-Desktop 2.4 does not set up the process environment properly.
|
|
Solution
|
|
Run the Resource Manager for you default tape resource and disable Double Buffering. Alternatively, download 01.01.08 build 7, which works around the problem.
