The official nickname of Aliquippa is the Indians. "But anybody who's been around Aliquippa football long enough knows it's the Quips," says coach Mike Zmijanac.
So, what is a Quip, besides a derivative of Aliquippa, the one time Indian Queen?
"I'm not allowed to tell you what a Quip is," Zmijanac says. "You have to clean it up a little; it's a family newspaper," Zmijanac says. "It's a bad 'son-of-a-gun'."
