Microlite Introduces Update Manager for BackupEDGE SS 

Las Vegas NV - (BUSINESS WIRE) - August 26, 2002 - Microlite Corporation
announced that the next release of its BackupEDGE SS (tm) commercial
backup and bare metal disaster recovery software for systems running
Linux and UNIX, will include complete automatic update facilities.

"Operating systems are being patched and updated almost daily", said
Frank Liberato, Vice President of Product Development at Microlite.
"With this release, we are better able to respond to those changes. Our
new automatic update system will help keep our users and channel
partners informed of improvements we make, and ensure their backup and
disaster recovery software is up-to-date."

New Features
============
 o Administrators can interactively check the Microlite update servers
   for new releases from within the BackupEDGE SS menu system. If a
   newer release is found, they can choose to examine the list of new
   features, then optionally download and install the new release
   automatically.

 o BackupEDGE SS can set up a scheduled task to check for and optionally
   cache upgrades, then notify the administrator. 

 o Installation, update and backup scheduling can also be performed
   through Caldera Volution Manager beginning with this release.

BackupEDGE SS release 01.02.03 with automatic updates and Volution
Manager support is now in open beta and will be available worldwide from
UNIX and Linux resellers and value added distributors beginning in
September 2002. Prices will start at $90.00(US) for personal or
non-commercial use and $300.00 for commercial licenses. The open beta
may de downloaded from the Microlite Corporation web site at
