Installation and setup of BackupEDGE
01.01.08 has been greatly simplified. An Installation Manager program oversees the entire process with an easy-to-use
wizard-style interface:
- Tape drives and tape autochangers are automatially detected;
You are given the option to edit device configurations;
You are then shown the tape device(s) on any machine(s) on your network, and are given the opportunity to select one as the default backup device;
You are given the option of scheduling unattended backups
The entire process is presented with a character-based menu system (complete with context-sensitive help). When it has completed, the system will be set up to run BackupEDGE 01.01.08 without further user intervention. |
